Zimbabwe Playing 11 vs South Africa- Match 4, Zimbabwe T20I Tri Series 2025

Zimbabwe will take on South Africa in the fourth match of the tri-series. This article provides details about Zimbabwe’s Playing 11 vs South Africa for the fourth game of the tri-series.

Zimbabwe Playing 11 vs South Africa- Match 4, Zimbabwe T20I Tri Series 2025:

Openers: Brian Bennett, Wessly Madhevere

Zimbabwe will open the batting with the opening pair of Brian Bennett and Wessly Madhevere in the fourth match of the tri-series against South Africa

The pair will look to put their best foot forward in the reverse fixture against South Africa, as they were not able to get the team off to a good start in the opening game of the series against them.

The performance of Madhevere and Bennett has been a mixed bag so far, with a few good innings followed by a string of low scores, which hasn’t helped Zimbabwe’s cause in T20I cricket.

Having said that, Bennett got off to a start in the first match against the Proteas but wasn’t able to prolong his innings and was dismissed after scoring 30 runs at a strike rate of just over 100.

Bennett will look to take the aggressive route against an in-form South African bowling attack in the next match.

Madhevere, on the other hand, got out early in the same match and would hope to play a match-winning innings in match number four.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Clive Madande (wk), Sikandar Raza (c), Ryan Burl, Tashinga Musekiwa, Tony Munyonga

The opening pair will be followed by a young middle order, which comprises batters like Clive Madande, Tashinga Musekiwa, and Tony Munyonga.

That’s where the role of all-rounders like Sikandar Raza and Ryan Burl becomes utmost important as the middle order is heavily dependent on them, and they will have to take the responsibility to score runs.

Having said that, the trio will take the match against South Africa as an opportunity to showcase their talent.

Raza would like to lead from the front in all three departments of the game as he is more than a handy bowler as well in T20 cricket and would want to deliver a solid performance with bat, ball, and in the field.

Burl, on the other hand, will look to hold one end and form a partnership in case the hosts suffer a collapse in the upcoming match.

Bowlers: Tony Munyonga, Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, Trevor Gwandu

The rainbow nation is expected to go in with four genuine bowlers in the form of Tony Munyonga, Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, and Trevor Gwandu.

The fast bowlers will look to replicate the performance they delivered in the first match against South Africa.

Zimbabwe might have only one specialist spinner in the playing XI, Tony Munyonga, who will be assisted by Sikandar Raza and Ryan Burl.

The hosts will rely on the team’s spinners to stem the flow of runs in the middle overs in order to restrict the opposition to a below-par total.
