Zak Crawley pulls off stunning save to deny Rishabh Pant a six in Lord’s Test

India had the best session so far in the Lord’s Test on the first session of Day 3. The two batters, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul, scored runs at a very healthy rate and never seemed troubled by the English bowlers.

Ben Stokes had to bring out unorthodox fields as well as use all his bowlers, including himself, but nothing seemed to work against the dynamic duo of Pant and Rahul. This innings marked their third 100-run partnership in test cricket.

Speaking of individual excellence, KL Rahul nears another stunning hundred at Lord’s. Rishabh Pant also batted well for his half-century before getting dismissed just at the stroke of lunch.

Zak Crawley turns ‘Superman’ to deny Rishabh Pant a six

Nothing seemed to go England’s way as the Indian batters were playing flawlessly on Day 3, but Rishabh Pant did not leave his natural style of play as he kept advancing down the track on several occasions to both spinners and pacers.

He also brought out his ramps and slogs; while playing one such shot, in an attempt to pull Ben Stokes, the ball flew towards the fine leg boundary, and Zak Crawley set himself right at the edge of the boundary rope. Despite an earnest attempt, he could not convert it into a catch but pulled out a stunning save, denying Rishabh Pant his third six of the innings.
