In the video, Iyer is seen playing cricket in his living room while his mother bowls to him using a tennis ball. The cutest part came when one of her deliveries slipped through and beat Iyer completely, going between his bat and body. Iyer has been a vital part of the Indian batting lineup in ODIs, scoring runs in the format over the years. He was the highest run-scorer for India in the Champions Trophy 2025, playing a key role in helping the team lift the prestigious title. Iyer is expected to return to the international stage later this year in August when the Indian team will tour Bangladesh for a white-ball series. Later, India will travel to Australia for a long white-ball summer, where Iyer is set to lead the Indian middle order.
