Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh unfollow Ranveer Allahbadia amid India’s Got Latent controversy

Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh have reportedly unfollowed YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, on Instagram, following controversy over a joke made on the show India’s Got Latent. The controversy began after a clip went viral showing Allahbadia asking an inappropriate question to a contestant on the show.

Details of the fallout

Social Media Buzz: Screenshots have been circulating online showing that Kohli and Singh no longer follow Allahbadia.

Reason for Unfollowing: It is speculated that the unfollowing is a response to the controversy surrounding ‘India’s Got Latent,’ where Allahbadia was a guest judge.

Yuvraj’s playful banter: An old clip has resurfaced from Allahbadia’s podcast featuring Yuvraj where the former India cricketer was asked about his equation with MS Dhoni. To which Yuvraj said: “Me and Mahi [Dhoni] are not close friends.”

Allahbadia’s Apology: Ranveer has issued a public apology, admitting his comment was inappropriate and not funny.

“Comedy is not my forte, and I regret my lapse in judgment,” Allahbadia said in a social media video. Acknowledging his influence on young viewers, he added: “The podcast is watched by people of all ages. I need to use this platform better.”

Samay Raina has removed all episodes of the show from his YouTube channel25.

Fan Reactions: Social media users have been actively discussing the alleged unfollowing. One user wrote that Ranveer’s dream of having Virat Kohli on his podcast “will remain a dream.”

Past Admiration: Ranveer Allahbadia had previously shared a birthday post for Virat Kohli, calling him a “legend.”
