In just his 4th innings in the IPL, Priyansh Arya announced his arrival in a grand way. The Southpaw was the shining light for his team in the ongoing game against Chennai Super Kings as he did the bulk of the scoring to put Punjab Kings in the dominating position.

Priyansh Arya started his innings on a dominating note as he slammed six on the first ball of the match, giving a glimpse of what was about to come. In a team filled with stars, the youngster was the top performer, which speaks volumes about his innings.

Priyansh Arya, although he got some chances, looked unfazed by that as he kept smacking the ball all over the park. What was impressive about his innings was the way he played despite the team losing wickets at the other end, left reeling at 83 for five inside 8 overs.

Priyansh Arya first slammed a brilliant half-century and then raced his way to his maiden ton in the IPL. He got to his century in just 39 balls and slammed the Second-fastest IPL hundred by an Indian. This was also the fastest century by an uncapped Indian player in the league.

Priyansh Arya’s innings helped Punjab Kings post a massive total of 219 runs

Priyansh Arya made many stand and applaud him for his heroics with the bat. He ended with an innings of 103 runs off 42 balls. The opening batter had a strike rate of 245 as he slammed 7 fours and 9 sixes during his stay at the crease.

Priyansh Arya’s innings helped Punjab Kings post a massive total of 219 runs on the board, which at one stage looked impossible. Along with him, Shashank Singh (52*) and Marco Jansen (34*) as the home team posted the 5th highest total at the venue.
