Ravichandran Ashwin takes stunner off his own bowling to remove ‘bunny’ Glenn Maxwell




Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin has made a massive impact with the ball during the ongoing game against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The match between the two teams is underway at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpurm

Ravichandran Ashwin, who was taken for runs in his first two overs, came up with the sensational third over, where he put Chennai Super Kings at the top. The off-spinner came up with a double strike as Punjab Kings was jolted with two massive blows.

Ravichandran Ashwin first removed Nehal Wadhera and then came up with the wicket of Glenn Maxwell. The winner of the Australian National Cricket Team batter deserved a lot of praise as the off-spinner came up with the brilliant catch off his bowling.

Ravichandran Ashwin came up with the carrom ball that was flighted on a length on middle and leg. The ball turned a bit as Glenn Maxwell cleared his front leg and smacked it straight back to the bowler.

Ravichandran Ashwin, however, had very little time to react, but he got into a good position on his followthrough. The ball slipped from his right hand due to the power with which it was hit, but he used his left hand to control the ball and got hold of the ball with support from the body.

This was for the 7th time, Ravichandran Ashwin removed Glenn Maxwell in the T20s. Overall, in the 16 innings against off-spinner, the batter has managed 165 runs at an average and strike rate of 33 and 191.8, respectively.
