Premier League: Manchester City v Tottenham

Match Preview

Manchester City will hope news of Pep Guardiola’s contract renewal will spark an upturn in form after four successive defeats in all competitions.

Guardiola may be mired in the worst run of his illustrious coaching career but that has not stopped the four-time defending Premier League champions persuading him to sign a deal at the Etihad until June 2027.

City have had to deal with an injury crisis of late but that appears to be easing with Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones and Jack Grealish all expected back for the teatime clash with Tottenham.

The visitors have lost three of their last five league games and Ange Postecoglou is in need of a win himself.

Spurs are without defender Micky van de Ven through injury and the suspended Rodrigo Bentancur.
