Pakistan continued their commanding performance in the Bangladesh tour of Pakistan 2025, securing a dominant seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the 3rd T20I at Gaddafi Stadium today, June 2, 2025. This emphatic win completes a clean sweep for Pakistan in the three-match T20I series.

Bangladesh sets a challenging target for Pakistan

After winning the toss, Pakistan elected to bowl first, a decision that initially seemed challenging as Bangladesh posted a formidable total of 196 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs. Parvez Hossain Emon was the standout performer for Bangladesh, smashing a scintillating 66 runs off just 34 deliveries, including 7 fours and 4 sixes. He was well-supported by Tanzid Hasan, who contributed a brisk 42 off 32 balls. Litton Das and Towhid Hridoy also chipped in with valuable scores of 22 and 25 respectively.

Pakistan’s bowlers faced a tough challenge against Bangladesh’s aggressive batting. Abbas Afridi and Hasan Ali were the most successful, claiming two wickets each for 26 and 38 runs respectively. Faheem Ashraf and Shadab Khan also picked up a wicket apiece.

Mohammad Haris’ century anchors Pakistan’s chase

Chasing a daunting target of 197, Pakistan’s innings was spearheaded by a sensational century from Mohammad Haris, who was deservedly named Player of the Match. Haris blazed his way to an incredible 107 runs off just 46 balls, adorned with 8 fours and 7 towering sixes, effectively taking the game away from Bangladesh. He received excellent support from Saim Ayub, who scored a quickfire 45 off 29 deliveries, and Hasan Nawaz, who added a rapid 26 off 13 balls. The early departure of Sahibzada Farhan for just 1 run was a minor blip in an otherwise flawless chase.

Bangladesh’s bowlers struggled to contain the rampant Pakistani batsmen. Mehidy Hasan Miraz managed to pick up two wickets for 26 runs, while Tanzim Hasan Sakib claimed one. However, the rest of the bowling attack proved expensive, as Pakistan reached their target with 16 balls to spare, finishing on 197 for 3 in 17.2 overs.

This victory not only seals the series 3-0 for Pakistan but also highlights their formidable form in the shortest format of the game, leaving Bangladesh with much to ponder ahead of their next encounters.
