Australia star Josh Hazlewood has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 2 crore. Even though he is widely regarded as one of the best pacers in the world, he failed to attract a single bid in the last auction and missed the IPL 2024 season.
The right-arm pacer’s journey in the IPL began in 2020 even though he has been playing international cricket since 2010. He made his debut in the IPL in 2020 while representing Chennai Super Kings.
In his first season, Hazlewood played only three games and picked up a solitary wicket. In 2021, he picked up 11 wickets in 9 games. Ahead of the 2022 season, the World Cup winner was signed up by Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
In IPL 2022, Hazlewood picked up 20 wickets in 12 games before taking 3 wickets in 3 games in IPL 2023. Hazlewood would be hoping to get an IPL contract this year and would be keen to show his worth in the tournament.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have signed up Josh Hazlewood for INR 12.50 crore at the IPL mega auction. Lucknow Super Giants, Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians also bid for the pacer but were eventually outbid.
