Cole Palmer and Kobbie Mainoo style out at GQ’s Men of the Year

England duo Cole Palmer and Kobbie Mainoo pulled out all the stops when they arrived at The Roof Gardens in London for GQ’s Men of the Year event on Tuesday evening.

Chelsea’s coldest man and Manchester United’s brightest young talent were chosen alongside a star-studded lineup from the worlds of music, film and culture to be celebrated at GQ’s highly-anticipated menswear event. Palmer and Mainoo also joined Jude Law, Nicole Kidman and rapper Central Cee as co-hosts of the evening, swapping the pitch for the red carpet while they impressed in luxury garments.

For Palmer, the evening called for a stunning Burberry tux, continuing his association with the British brand. Fans were not made to sit through a nine-minute video of the midfielder fishing this time, but instead they were treated to a 1990s style single-breasted tuxedo.

His classic offering was accompanied by a clean, traditional dress shirt before a pair of Burberry loafers finished off the movie-star look. Palmer donned a textbook black tie outfit on Tuesday, fixing up his suit with a bow tie.

Whereas for Mainoo, GQ’s red carpet was blessed with a complete Bottega Veneta look. He was unmissable as he strutted past camera flashes, shining in black leather and casting a contagious smile upon the rest of the talented guest-list.

Hidden beneath his oversized jacket was a white vest, pulling away from the constraints of a dress shirt. A pair of leather shoes completed his outgoing style, offering a polished finish.

Chelsea star Noni Madueke was also in attendance on the night, donning a stylish black cardigan and dark patterned trousers. Lionesses Leah Williamson and Chloe Kelly turned up in style, the former boasting an oversized, open grey suit and the latter opting for an intricate half-and-half dress.

Chelsea and United will return to action this weekend after the November international break paused play. Neither Palmer nor Mainoo featured for their country this month after being ruled out on injury.
