Champions League: Barcelona v Brest

Match Preview

Barcelona will look to get back to winning ways when they host Brest in the Champions League tomorrow night.

Hansi Flick’s men have suffered a blip in La Liga with Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Celta Vigo – a match in which they squandered a 2-0 advantage with six minutes of normal time remaining – meaning their lead over Real Madrid at the summit has been trimmed to four points having also played a game more.

They have won their last three in the Champions League, though, and will be confident of maintaining that run against Brest.

The Ligue 1 side have been one of the surprise packages in Europe’s top-tier competition this season, winning three of their four games, but they have come against some of the weaker teams – Sturm Graz, Salzburg and Sparta Prague.

Barca will be a big step up in quality and it would be a major surprise if Brest, who lost 3-2 at Monaco at the weekend, emerge with anything.
