BCCI shakes up entire India’s international home season with sudden venue changes

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the revised schedule for the upcoming home season, including the South Africa A team’s tour of India. Notably, the Women’s ODI series between India and Australia has been moved from Chepauk Stadium in Chennai to a different venue.

The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) has informed the BCCI that the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai won’t be available to host the upcoming Women’s series in September. The venue is undergoing relaying of the outfield ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka.
